Who we are:
Medicine 3 is dedicated to improving patients’ quality of life and curing chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases through a holistic approach, cutting-edge diagnostics, and a commitment to research, teaching, and training. The Department of Stem Cell Biology focuses on modeling nervous system diseases using patient-specific stem cell models. By studying disease-specific changes through advanced biochemical, neurophysiological, and imaging techniques, the department aims to uncover mechanisms behind conditions such as ALS, HSP, Parkinson’s disease, and the gut-brain axis, paving the way for innovative therapeutic approaches.
Your tasks:
The DIONE project focuses on understanding the communication between the immune system and bone tissue. Inflammation can disrupt the balance of bone formation and degradation, leading to destructive interactions. By studying this interplay, DIONE aims to develop therapies that promote bone health for millions of people. The consortium includes internationally recognized researchers dedicated to this goal.
